چکیده

A simple and promising H2O2 biosensor has been developed by successful entrapment of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in a gelatine matrix which was cross-linked with formaldehyde. The large microscopic surface area and porous morphology of the gelatine matrix lead to high enzyme loading and the enzyme entrapped in this matrix can retain its bioactivity. This biosensor exhibited a fast amperometric response to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The linear range for H2O2 determination was from 2.5×10 to 2.5×10 M, with a detection limit of 2.0×10 M based on S / N = 3. This biosensor possessed very good reproducibility.

A Biosensor Based on Immobilization of Horseradish Peroxidase in Chitosan Matrix Cross-linked with Glyoxal for Amperometric Determination of Hydrogen Peroxide

An amperometric biosensor for hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was developed via an easy and effective enzyme immobilization method with the “sandwich” configuration: ferrocene-chitosan: HRP: chitosan-glyoxal using a glassy carbon electrode as the basic electrode. In order to prevent the loss of immobilized HRP under optimized conditions, the biosensor surface was cross-linked with glyoxal. Ferrocene w...

Enhanced chemiluminescence biosensor for the determination of phenolic compounds and hydrogen peroxide

The enhanced chemiluminescence (CL) reaction of the luminol±H2O2±horseradish peroxidase (HRP) system with immobilized HRP using microencapsulation in a sol±gel matrix has been used to develop a biosensor for p-iodophenol, p-coumaric acid, 2-naphthol and hydrogen peroxide. The detection limits obtained for p-iodophenol, p-coumaric acid and 2-naphthol were 0.83 mM, 15 and 48 nM, respectively. Dir...

Electrochemical study of a new methylene blue/silicon oxide nanocomposition mediator and its application for stable biosensor of hydrogen peroxide.

A novel organic-inorganic nanocomposite of methylene blue (MB) and silicon oxide was synthesized and characterized by TEM, FTIR, and UV-vis. The as-prepared material was able to transfer the electron of the MB to electrode and was different from other SiO2 spheres structurally. It can be used as mediator to construct a biosensor with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) coimmobilized in the gelatine ma...

Comparison between Amperometric and Chemiluminescence methods in detection and dosimetry of cobalt-60 gamma ray emission

Background: Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), produced by gamma ray irradiation to watery solution, was used as an analytical parameter for dosimetry of cobalt-60 (60Co) radiation. Materials and Methods: Detection of the produced H2O2 was carried out using two methods: an amperometric biosensor fabricated by immobilization of anthraquinone 2-carboxylic acid modified horseradish peroxidase on glassy car...

Optical biosensor based on hollow integrated waveguides.

The first absorbance biosensor based on pure silicon hollow integrated waveguides is presented in this work. With the use of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) as a model recognition element, an enzymatic sensor for the measurement of hydrogen peroxide was fabricated, numerically simulated, and experimentally characterized. Waveguides with widths ranging from 50 to 80 microm, having a depth of 50 mic...
